Aurélie Drapeau - Week 5-6 homework

 I'm not too confortable presenting this in class... I see all the amazing work of the other students and I don't feel like I can keep up yet. My schedule got busier and busier for the past few weeks, so I didn't have a lot of time to spend on my homework.

I spent way too much time trying to get the flames right for the material studies in week 5 and I'm still not satisfied. Well, we easily get the idea that it's fire, but it doesn't feel realistic:

I tried to do landscape studies before, but I can't seem to go past this stage, it's a complete mind-block.

I see people doing this, trying step by step, but it never feels right when I try it out myself. Any ideas?

(it's funny because ever since starting this term at Syn I always think "B I G  S H A P E S" when painting in photoshop; it got better but I'm still not there yet)
